The Bridge took the lead in 2018 when we heard from residents throughout the Okanagan that the biggest gap in our local system of recovery care was the absence of live-in treatment options for young people struggling with addiction.

Given the dire need in our community, we scaled back our original aspirations and decided early on in the campaign to focus on Phase I: a modified and more immediate response to care for those families and young people most at risk.

With the generous support of Interior Health, the Westbank First Nation, and our friends, donors and allies we were able to open Phase I in May 2021. This leased, 10-bed facility is a testament of what we can achieve when we work together on community priorities.
